I came to live in Sheffield about 9 years ago. I discovered Sheffield General Cemetery right on my doorstep during the pandemic, and I instantly fell in love with it. I really enjoy following its winding, sheltered paths and even though I visit it almost daily, I never tire of reading the names on the headstones as I pass. I find it a place of welcome peace and tranquillity in the middle of a bustling area of the city.

I enjoy spending time in nature; and I see heritage as something that we are entrusted to look after by people who have gone before us, for the sake of the people who are yet to come. I am particularly fond of animals and my main hobby is reading. In my free time I like to walk, and I my other interests include history and current affairs. I am currently developing an interest in gemstones and crystals which might someday lead to a collection (if I ever find the space to put them!).I

I am very much looking forward to working with the Trust in helping it to continue to deliver the many wonderful activities it undertakes within the Cemetery.
