Sheffield General Cemetery Trust is delighted to welcome Thomas Carter to the atmospheric Samuel Worth Chapel for a spellbinding evening of contemporary folk.

Thomas Carter is an indie/dark folk artist from Sheffield. A self-produced singer and multi-instrumentalist, he aims to weave abstract, poetic, and personal lyrics together with melodic instrumentation and oftentimes melancholic sound design  – creating music that is as emotive and as moving as possible. His live performances are a chance to see the depth of his dedication, and to feel the weight of every lyric and note. A uniquely intimate experience. By the end, you could surely hear a pin drop.

Geb is a folk singer, storyteller and artist from the rural countryside of Bedfordshire. He writes about love, loss and home, capturing vivid lyricism with finger-picked melodies. Inspired by the likes of Woody Guthrie, Johnny Cash, Gregory Alan Isakov, Lucy Spraggan, Frank Turner, Bob Dylan, Carol King, Will Varley, Robert Johnson and Nick Drake, Geb focuses on refining his lyrics to tell his own stories in ways that will resonate with anyone. Combined with his self taught fingerstyle guitar, the results are folk ballads, love songs and the blues….
