tAngerinecAt’s Plus Modulator ESP
tAngerinecAt bring their powerful sonic rituals to the Samuel Worth Chapel for an intense, genre-defying live experience. This British duo fuse shamanic industrial electronics with dark jazz, folk, post-metal, overtone singing and evocative spoken word – creating immersive performances that are as visceral as they are otherworldly.
Formed by Ukrainian-born producer and multi-instrumentalist Zhenia Purpurovsky and British sound artist Paul Chilton, tAngerinecAt are driven by a fierce anti-war, anti-fascist and anti-ecocide ethos, alongside a deep commitment to artistic innovation. Over the past decade they’ve built an international following, releasing seven albums and touring across 15 countries, with appearances at major festivals including Wave-Gotik-Treffen, Tallinn Music Weekand Knockengorroch. In 2024 they toured Germany and Czechia alongside dark-electro pioneers Project Pitchfork.
Support comes from Modulator ESP (Modulator Experimental Synthesis Project), the cosmic synthesiser work of Nottingham-based autistic artist Jez Creek. Expect vast shimmering synth textures, evolving loops and deep bass drones – a hypnotic sonic meditation balancing repetition and transformation.
