In association with Rhyme & Reason, we are delighted to be hosting the launch of Dan Richards’ new title Overnight: Journeys, Conversations & Stories After Dark, hosted by Helen Mort.

About Dan Richards

Dan Richards is the co-author of Holloway (with Robert Macfarlane and Stanley Donwood), and the author of The Beechwood Airship Interviews, Climbing Days, Outpost and Overnight. Only After Dark, a BBC Radio 4 series about the nocturnal world, was broadcast to acclaim in 2022. Dan has written for the Guardian, Economist, Esquire and Monocle. He is based in Edinburgh.

About Helen Mort

Helen Mort is a poet and writer based in Sheffield. She has published three collections with Chatto & Windus. Dad vs Dad is a visual poetry pamphlet which explores the impact of stroke through erasure. It was published by Verve in September 2024.

  • Bags will be checked on entry; please do not bring any alcohol into the venue.
  • The Samuel Worth Chapel has a fully licensed bar selling local beers, wine, spirits, soft drinks and hot drinks. Card payments are accepted.
