Keystones Piano Festival Presents Resonant Bodies Quintet
This May, Keystones Piano Festival returns for a week of week of music in the round in the historic Samuel Worth Chapel. Featuring a varied lineup of contemporary and classical compositions, this celebration of piano offers an intimate and atmospheric experience in our unique heritage setting.
On Friday, join us for an evening of bold, boundary-pushing improvisation… Resonant Bodies Quintet brings together a group of exceptional musicians for a one-off, expanded performance – evolving from the medieval-inspired duo of Zebedee Budworth (hammered dulcimer and electronics) and Rob Bentall (nyckelharpa and electronics).
For this special festival appearance, they are joined by Matthew Bourne (piano), Ben Gaunt (dulcitone / piano) and Philippe Clegg (double bass), forming a dynamic quintet rooted in collaboration and deep musical connection.
Collectively, the ensemble’s members have performed widely across the UK and internationally, appearing at festivals including Sonorities (Belfast) and collaborating across a broad spectrum of contemporary and experimental music.
Expect an immersive, exploratory performance where structure dissolves and something entirely new emerges in the moment. A night of fearless creativity – raw, atmospheric, and not to be missed.
