Charlotte Ridsdale has been a teacher of music in the Sheffield area for 25 years and in 2020 began making and performing her own music. She spent her childhood close to the General Cemetery and ended up living in Nether Edge. Nature’s Sign is her first album of folk orientated acoustic music and she is excited to be able to perform songs at her local venue, the Samuel Worth Chapel.
Charlotte is a multi instrumentalist who writes songs using poignant melodies drifting alongside modal motifs and hypnotic clusters . She finds the beauty in old folk tunes and interprets them.

Russ Chandler is a forceful singer and banjo player who sings songs he feels have something to say to the world we live in. He plays traditional, political and modern songs. He is a fine banjo player and as well as giving concerts can teach and give presentations on the history and culture of the instrument. His first album Last Night In Babylon was described by fRoots magazine as “Masterly”. He was well known around the folk scenes of East London and Essex for many years and in 2021 relocated to Sheffield.
