Sheffield General Cemetery Trust is excited to present an evening of bold, genre-bending music in the atmospheric surroundings of the Samuel Worth Chapel. Three distinctive acts share the stage, each offering a unique soundscape that pushes the boundaries of folk, rock, and experimental music.

Junk
Sheffield’s own Junk bring a heady mix of influences, weaving together the shimmering textures of 90s dream pop with the grit of jangly, female-fronted grunge rock. With layers of guitar pedal wizardry and haunting gothic vocal harmonies, they create a sound that’s both nostalgic and refreshingly raw – perfect for fans of all things atmospheric and alternative.

Pict
Emerging from Nottingham’s vibrant scene, Pict are a “post-folk” quintet who formed in 2024. Featuring Zach Thompson (vocals, guitar), Lara Taylor (vocals, trumpet), Matt Wilson (lead guitar), Louis Gately (bass), and Paul Paulson (drums), their sound blends folk-inspired lyricism with expansive, layered instrumentation.

Meraki
Sheffield-based duo Meraki (Phoebe Niamh on harp and Amy Spearman on cello) create ethereal, improvised soundscapes that move between the experimental and the sublime. Drawing on contemporary, folk, and ambient influences, their performances are immersive and ever-changing, with the use of effects shaping new sonic worlds each time they play.

Join us for a night of dreamlike textures, inventive sounds, and unforgettable live performance in one of Sheffield’s most unique heritage spaces.
