A Little Way Different with DJ Richard Smith

A night of ska rocksteady and reggae featuring the sounds of Alton Ellis, Delroy Wilson, Ken Boothe, Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, and much more.
Starting collecting reggae records back in the late 70s, at the same time as being introduced to the reggae sound systems of Manchester, Richard “dubhut” Smith started playing at parties back in the 80s and continues in Sheffield, having had time, back in the early 2000s with Sheffield’s own Riddimtion sound system at the Simunye arts project on London Road, then more recently hosting a monthly night at The Bear on Abbeydale Road and the first vinyl night at The Old Shoe in Orchard Square.
Bringing the sound of 60s, 70s and 80s Jamaica to the Samual Worth Chapel for something “A little way different”.
