Event information
Date: Sat, 27 September 2025
Time: 8.00pm - 1.00am
Cost: £7.00 + Booking fee
Type: Music
A night of ska, rocksteady, and reggae featuring the sounds of Alton Ellis, Delroy Wilson, Ken Boothe, Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, and more – all played on original vinyl.
Starting his reggae collection back in the late 70s, and introduced to Manchester’s sound system scene not long after, Richard “dubhut” Smith began DJing parties in the 80s and continues to bring roots reggae to Sheffield audiences today. From playing with Riddimtion Sound System at the Simunye arts project to hosting vinyl nights at The Bear and The Old Shoe, Richard now brings the golden sound of 60s–80s Jamaica to the Samuel Worth Chapel for something “a little way different.”
Joining him as special guests are Toby & Pearl from The Camberwell Connection – bringing their deep crates and infectious energy for a night of good vibes and serious tunes.
