Sheffield General Cemetery Trust is excited to present an evening of bold, genre-bending music in the atmospheric surroundings of the Samuel Worth Chapel. Two distinctive acts share the stage, each offering a unique soundscape.

Gordon McKinney is a 51-year-old songwriter from Norman, Oklahoma. His intricate guitar melodies and masterful storytelling create a profound sense of personal connection with audiences seeking to be seen. Gordon’s dedication to the craft of songwriting has allowed him to perform for audiences both in the US as well as the UK who ache for intimacy, honesty and vulnerability in song. Gordon believes in building community and uses the art of songwriting to create connections that are impactful, hopeful and life lasting. He is seeking to open his heart as wide as love will allow. You are invited in.

Matthew Sturgess – performing as The Silver Reserve  creates slow‑unfurling, atmospheric songs built on delicate classical‑guitar work and quietly devastating lyrics. His music has been praised for its emotional depth, intricate craft, and spellbinding live presence.
Critics and artists describe it as “beautiful,” “hypnotic,” “one of a kind,” and “miniature masterpieces amid towering sonic architecture.” From intimate venues to festival stages, his performances leave audiences held, hushed, and deeply moved.
