Sharrow Lantern Carnival

We’re delighted to once again host the enchanting Sharrow Lantern Carnival on Saturday 21st March, as the celebration returns to the grounds of Sheffield General Cemetery.

This much-loved annual event brings together community and creativity, illuminating the Cemetery’s pathways with a mesmerising procession of handmade lanterns.

Free lantern-making workshops will take place throughout March at local venues, offering all the materials and guidance needed to create your own lantern and take part in the festival.

Our friends organising the festival are currently seeking support to help make this year’s event happen, and any help – whether through donations, sharing their campaign or volunteering – makes a real difference!
