Sheffield General Cemetery Trust is excited to present an evening of bold, genre-bending music in the atmospheric surroundings of the Samuel Worth Chapel. Two distinctive acts share the stage, each offering a unique soundscape that pushes the boundaries of folk, and experimental music.

Serandite
Serandite is an improvising trio inspired by patterns found in nature. Harpist Phoebe Niamh (meraki), percussionist Sarah Heneghan (Key of She), and guitarist Tim Knowles (Timothy Knowles et al.) sculpt iridescent soundscapes and mesmerise audiences with inter-arts collaborations.

Ruth Webber
Ruth Webber’s music spans different themes, energies, and instruments. As a singer-songwriter she likes to draw the listener into memories and moments, full of half-truths and misremembered events. Ruth released her debut EP ‘Songs for my Father’ in April 2024 with an ensemble of 11 musicians, and plays in several other projects that help to express the many moods of Ruth.

Mad Hatters Lightshow
Jez from Mad Hatters Lightshow has been twisting and morphing lights for over 6 years. Taking inspiration from the liquid lightshows of the ‘60s, Jez has worked with bands around Sheffield as a psychedelic projectionist artist.

Together, these artists promise an evening of inventive sound, shifting moods and immersive visuals in one of Sheffield’s most atmospheric heritage spaces.
