Folk at the Chapel Presents Auka

Sheffield General Cemetery Trust is delighted to welcome Auka to the atmospheric Samuel Worth Chapel for a spellbinding evening of contemporary folk.
Drawing inspiration from the melodies and rhythms of the natural world, Auka create genre-defying original music on Irish flute and whistles, acoustic guitar, and double bass. Their performances are both delicate and powerful, moving seamlessly between moments of quiet stillness and bursts of vibrant energy.
In autumn 2023, the trio released their second album, Wild Waters — a musical portrait of a river, ebbing and flowing from gentle calm to turbulent force. Rich in texture and deeply evocative, their music offers audiences a journey through sound that feels rooted in landscape and alive with possibility.
Join us for an evening of innovative folk music that is as fresh as it is timeless, in one of Sheffield’s most beautiful heritage spaces.
