190th Birthday Celebrations | Planetarium in the Chapel

As part of our 190th birthday celebrations, join us for a magical journey through the night sky as the University of Sheffield’s inflatable planetarium returns to the Samuel Worth Chapel.

Step inside this immersive, dome-shaped inflatable and explore stars, constellations, and cosmic wonders – all without leaving the ground. It’s a unique opportunity to experience the universe in one of Sheffield’s most atmospheric heritage venues.

Whether you’re a curious stargazer or just looking for a family-friendly adventure, this is a May Bank Holiday event you won’t forget.

• 10.15-10.35am
• 11.00-11.20am
• 11.40am-12.00pm
• 12.20-12.40pm

• 3.40-4.00pm

Event Details

• Sessions start at 11.00am and last for 20 minutes with a maximum of 15 people in the planetarium at one time.
• Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Maximum of two children per adult.
• Location: The Samuel Worth Chapel, Sheffield, S11 8NT
• Accessibility: The Samuel Worth Chapel is fully accessible.
• Tickets: All tickets are sold online via Ticketsource. No tickets are available on the door and bags will be checked upon entry.
