Lou Gold Album Launch with ROSH

Lou Gold, a captivating singer-songwriter originally from London and now residing in Sheffield, is thrilled to announce the release of her debut album, A Body of Water. Combining lyrical storytelling with an indie-folk sound infused with vintage soul production, Gold’s music has been likened to the works of Frazey Ford, Brittany Howard, Lianne La Havas, and Valerie June. Her thoughtful lyrics and honeyed tones invite listeners to explore themes of nature, transformation, hope and connection. Gold draws inspiration from her surroundings in Sheffield, the nearby Peak District, and her lifelong passion for people, politics, and the environment. Having honed her craft in bands exploring rock, indie, hip-hop, and breakbeat, she now takes center stage with her first solo project, a sound shaped by her guitar-driven songwriting and vivid storytelling. Lou Gold will be performing with her friends and bandmates The Alchemists.
