Christmas with Sonority Choir

Celebrate the festive season in enchanting candlelight as Sonority Choir, Sheffield’s finest upper-voice chamber choir, returns to the Samuel Worth Chapel for a magical evening of winter and Christmas music.

Presented in their signature Sonority style, this concert promises to surround you with rich harmonies, soaring descants and joyful seasonal spirit. The programme weaves together classic favourites – including In Dulci Jubilo, Stille Nachtand a rousing Yorkshire Wassail – with striking new arrangements by local and female composers, creating a warm and uplifting experience that’s both traditional and fresh.

Set against the atmospheric backdrop of the candlelit Chapel, this intimate performance will fill the space with glorious sound and festive cheer. Audiences can expect a moving and memorable evening, complete with traditional refreshments to toast the season.

Founded in 2019, Sonority brings together some of the finest upper voices in Sheffield, showcasing nine centuries of vocal music and championing upper-voice repertoire, female composers, and conductors. Their performances are known for their emotional impact and exceptional musicality:
