John Hegley’s Playful Workshop

Ninety minutes of writing, drawing and drawing-out the creativity in the assembled group of up to 20. Sharing optional and daring encouraged and with mandolin accompaniment. There will be exercises in rhyme and drawing,  no experience required. Just experiences. With mandolin accompaniment provided by the tutor.

Suitable for anyone who has ever been eight. All equipment and materials are provided.

The little sketches he’s drawn are hilarious even without the words, but his skewed and fantastical vision informs even the most normal-seeming creatures.  His world is ready to turn in an instant into somewhere most odd and he just goes with the flow and behaves as if this is all completely okay and not to be wondered at but rather accepted.
