‘Fjall is a very unusual and atmospheric multi instrumental weird folk improvising group comprising Martin Archer – concert flute, Bb clarinet, bass clarinet, recorders, harmonicas, melodica, sopranino saxophone, Hulusi flute, percussion, electronics / Jan Todd – baritone psaltery, electric Harp.E, cross strung harp, tagelharpa, waterphone, Hulusi flute, cello, electronics, looping, field recordings / Fran Comyn – frame drums, gongs, cymbals, bells, bowls, hand percussion, field recordings / Richard Jackson – drums and percussion. We’ve chosen an equally unusual and atmospheric venue for the launch of our first album From The Rough Hill (Discus Music, released 3.11.23).

We’re delighted also to welcome the great improvising pianist Laura Cole to play a solo keyboard spot to open the evening.’
